SAFe training and consulting Reporting and Case Management program

Challenge
AUSTRAC was embarking on a major Digital Transformation Program to create a new digital reporting tool for financial entities and a new Case Management solution for the organisation. Individual teams had seen some success with Agile ways of working, and AUSTRAC wanted to explore launching the whole program with all teams working in a common Agile way.
Approach
We ran Discovery with all teams on the program to understand their training needs. We then tailored SAFe training to fit leadership's vision for the program operating model and delivered role-based training to 78 team members. The tailored courses were Leading SAFe, SAFe for Teams and Product Owner/Product Manager.
Outcome
After the training, our certified SAFe program consultants helped the program's leaders identify value streams and organise the teams around that flow of value at the program level. In SAFe terms, this launched AUSTRAC's first Agile Release Train. Our consultants supported the launch with ongoing coaching, mentoring and implementation support.
