Implementation and support of Atlassian suite in protected AWS

Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry

Challenge

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has around 2,500 users across multiple instances of Jira, Confluence and Service Desk. These are deployed in Protected AWS environments with stringent security rules and access controls for both internal and external users. The applications run automated workflows for many teams, provide reporting and collaboration tools and an ITSM portal for internal and external users, and are the tool set the Department uses to manage most of its programs and projects. With such a large deployment and complex processes and security rules, the Department ran into trouble with its existing managed service provider. After persevering for 18 months, it approached the market.

Approach

After an initial consultation, the Department gave us the chance to solve its long-term unresolved issues. We solved all the existing problems within three weeks and were chosen as the new managed service partner.

Outcome

As managed service partner, we work with the Department to unlock the full capability and value of its Atlassian products. We have onboarded many new teams, integrated many new processes and created many new services. We deliver these managed services efficiently and incrementally, continually unlocking more value for the Department.
